About the Writer: Tim Clark spent a decade in Japan as a translator, writer, businessman, and founder of a consultancy that was acquired by a public corporation. Today he lives in Portland, Oregon, where he writes, invests, and teaches graduate entrepreneurship courses at Portland State University.
Clark's third book, entitled The Prosperous Peasant: FIve Secrets of Fortune & Fulfillment From the Samurai's Temple School, is also based on the life of Hideyoshi. The Prosperous Peasant was co-authored by 2005 Book Sense Book of the Year Award Runner-up Mark Cunningham. Together Clark and Cunningham write Soul Shelter, a blog about balancing meaning and money.
Clark's latest book is Business Model Generation. His first book, co-authored by Carl Kay, is Saying Yes to Japan: How Outsiders Are Transforming a Trillion Dollar Services Market.
